Hal Holbrook was just 34 years old when he took Broadway by storm (and by surprise) in 1959. "An extraordinary show called 'Mark Twain Tonight!' slipped into the Forty-first Street Theatre last evening. There should have been posters up all over the town to herald its arrival," wrote Arthur Gelb in The New York Times. "The result can only be described as brilliant." Holbrook is bringing his one man show to The Colonial in Pittsfield for one night on March 8, which is a rare opportunity to see a legendary actor perform the same role that made him famous fifty years after the fact.
