May 2, | Poughkeepsie, NY | 9am–1pm

Are you, or do you know a Mexican national in need of documentation support? The Consulate General of Mexico is bringing its mobile consular services to the Mid-Hudson Library System auditorium in Poughkeepsie on May 2, offering those with Mexican citizenship the chance to take care of official documents without making the trip to a consular office in New York City.

The program handles passports, matrícula consular cards (the high-security consular ID valid for five years), certified copies of Mexican birth certificates, and voter registration via the INE card, which is Mexico's primary national ID and allows citizens living abroad to vote in Mexican elections. Dual citizenship registration is also available.

All sessions are by appointment only, between 9am and 1pm. Appointments are free and can be made by calling MiConsulado at (424)-309-0009, which also accepts WhatsApp messages. Some of the document services carry fees; the consulate's website has the current fee schedule and a list of what to bring to each type of appointment.

The event is being hosted at the Mid-Hudson Library System auditorium at 105 Market Street in Poughkeepsie.
