Lisa Green reports from Pittsfield. If there seems to be an inordinate number of people hoisting wine glasses in these photos, it’s because that’s what they were at the Moments House fundraiser to do. On Saturday, Feb. 6, Pittsfield’s own winery, Balderdash Cellars, hosted the Winter Warmer Wine Tasting event, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting Moments House, a homelike daytime facility for all Berkshire County residences living with a cancer diagnosis and well as their families. A resource for information and support, the programs and services are offered free of charge so, as the organization says, no one faces cancer alone. The mother-daughter team, Alice and Danielle Trumball, above, founded the organization, which is staffed by volunteers.
