On Friday, June 8, the opening reception of an exhibit at the Roeliff-Jansen Community Library in Hillsdale of the work of Ancram resident R.O Blechman, animator, illustrator, children's book author, and New Yorker cartoonist, drew a crowd rife with admiring fellow artists and illustrators.  The show, which runs through June 24, includes the artist's animated films.  On July 14 & 15, Blechman's home studio will be among those on a library-benefit tour of artists' studios.
