Jamie Larson reports from Germantown. For the first time ever the Friends of Clermont and Clermont Historic Site have created an exhibit of contemporary art on the public park grounds at the bucolic Clermont Estate. Entitled Potential Fields… a meandering algorithm, the exhibition of sculptures was created by eight well-known local artists and curated by Francine Hunter McGivern, Founding Director of CR10 Arts in Linlithgo. The exhibit can be viewed through November 3. An artist reception was held to kick off the exhibit on August 18, and was attended by many of the artists, including Alice Adams and Bill Gordy, Bob Braine, John Cleater, Brian Dewan, Laetitia Hussain, Daniel Rothbart, and William Stone. Pictured is artist Brian Dewan (right) with Steve Manning, Ellen Driscoll, Lukaza Branfman-Verissimo and Suchi Branfman.
