Rhinebeck has long laid claim to having the Hudson Valley’s largest farmers market, so it is always a big deal, but this Sunday, August 23, when it celebrates its 15th anniversary, it will be an even bigger one than usual.  Festivities begin at 11 a.m. at the market’s East Market Street location.  There will be live music, tote-bag-bumper sticker-and-recipe-card giveaways, and, for little ones, a magic show and face painting. But the big draw on this special day will be the tastings—Migliorelli Farm’s grilled corn on the cob with butter, grilled vegetables with herb butter, sugared-and-grilled seasonal fruit, and Breezy Hill Orchard’s apple cider.  There are also some interesting collaborations between vendors: Quattro’s Farm grilled chicken with Julia & Isabella’s pesto, Highland Farm venison with Ray Tousey’s black currant sauce, Uphill Farm Beef with Amazing Real Live Food Co.'s astonishing horseradish-flavored fresh farmer's cheese.
