The internationally touring ensemble Red Hot Chilli Pipers brings its high-voltage blend of Scottish tradition and arena rock to the Warner Theatre on Saturday, March 14 at 7:30pm. The nine-piece group—featuring pipers, guitars, keyboards, and drums—has built a global following with its signature “Bagrock” sound, a fusion of Highland bagpipes and classic rock energy.
Since winning a UK primetime television talent competition in 2007, the band has toured widely from New York to Beijing, combining traditional Scottish tunes with reimagined rock anthems. Their performances move seamlessly between melodies rooted in the Highlands and crowd-pleasing covers of songs by artists like Queen, Journey, and AC/DC, all driven by the unmistakable punch of massed bagpipes and a full rock rhythm section.
With multiple platinum-selling releases in Scotland and appearances across major international stages, the group has turned what might seem like an unlikely combination—pipes and rock—into a dynamic live spectacle that routinely leaves audiences on their feet.
The performance takes place in the Oneglia Auditorium at the Warner Theatre, 68 Main Street in Torrington. Tickets are available through the Warner Theatre box office.
