A Thanksgiving to go is the next best thing to having a private caterer in your kitchen. You can order the entire meal, or choose the mains and sides to fill in the gaps (or the items you just don’t feel like making yourself). Here are six regional purveyors who are ready to cook up a great Thanksgiving for you and yours. All of the menus are on their websites or Facebook pages, and are linked below.

1. Bistro Box, Great Barrington, MA

This uber successful roadside eatery is often standing-line-only, so here’s a way to sample the goodness without waiting. Bistro Box’s Thanksgiving goes from the sublime (duck confit and apple stuffing) to the super comfort food (mac and cheese), with a brined and roasted turkey breast as the main.

The details: To place an order, you can email Bistro Box at bistrobox@hotmail.com or call (413) 717-5958. Payment is required upon ordering. Orders must be placed by noon on Nov. 19, and pick-up days are Nov. 21 and 22.

2. Talbott & Arding, Hudson, NY

No surprise that Talbott & Arding’s Thanksgiving menu would include a cheese platter and a serious pecan cheese ball. But the renowned cheese and provisions shop has all the rest for your table, too: roasted turkey breast, gravy, cranberry orange relish and pumpkin pie, among the other offerings of a traditional menu.

The details: Deadline for orders is Nov. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Email Jordan@talbottandarding.com or place your order in person at the shop. No phone orders.

3. Terrapin, Rhinebeck, NY

Terrapin’s Thanksgiving to go menu includes the traditional sides and desserts — everything but the turkey. We especially like that there are a lot of options for non meat eaters, with vegetarian lasagna, vegetarian chestnut stuffing and a vegetable terrine on the menu among the familiar favorites.

The Details: To order, call (845) 876-3330 or visit the website. Orders must be placed by Thursday, Nov. 15. Pick-up will be between noon and 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 only.

4. Rossi & Sons, Poughkeepsie, NY

Rossi’s Deli may be known for its specialty Italian sandwiches, but it’s places like this that can make anything taste good. Nothing fancy about this Thanksgiving to go, which offers turkey, ham and meat lasagna. True to its Italian heritage, Rossi's menu includes antipasto. And tiramisu. You can order the Complete Turkey or Spiral Ham Dinner Package, or a la carte.

The Details: Order via Rossi’s website. Pick-up is Wednesday, Nov. 21.

5. J.P. Gifford, Kent and Sharon, CT

The centerpiece here is the all-natural, hormone-free, free-range turkeys, which can be ordered uncooked or oven ready (stuffed and tied with herbs, oranges and onions, and placed in an oven-ready pan). But there are elegant options to turkey: J.P. Gifford’s offers spiral hams locally sourced and smoked by Nodine’s Smokehouse, and a roasted whole filet mignon with horseradish sauce.

The details: Order by Sunday, Nov. 18, and pick up either at J.P. Gifford Market in Kent or at J.P. Gifford Café in Sharon. To place your order, stop by the market, email market@jpgifford.com or call (860) 592-0200.

6. The Pantry, Washington Depot, CT

The Pantry has been providing take-home feasts for many years. The menu is extensive and includes delectable hors d'oeuvres such as smoked salmon and truffled mousse pate. For the feast, there is turkey and ham (and quiche lorraine) among the mains and traditional sides. A selection of pies, cheesecakes, tortes and ice creams lend diversity to dessert.

The details: Order in person or by phone at (860) 868-0258. The Pantry will email an order form on request. Cutoff for pre-orders is Saturday, Nov. 17 and the pre-paid orders are to be picked up Wednesday, Nov. 21.
