Rural Intelligence Parties and Openings

On Monday at the Daniel Arts Center of Bard College at Simon's Rock in Great Barrington, the Berkshire Fringe kicked off its fourth season with "Eating It," a fundraising party featuring local foods and a performance honoring the tomato that concluded with the serving of a suckling pig onstage by Fire Roasted Catering's Jeremy Stanton whose children, Maia and Kyle (photo), passed hors d'oeuvres. The festival runs July 16 - August 4, and tickets are just $15 for each event; a season pass for all six live shows is $69.
