Winter is audition season for our regional theater companies as they compete to import the best talent for their summer productions. At Tri-Arts in Sharon, CT, which casts Actors Equity performers with Broadway credits alongside inspired amateurs from the community, they are looking for hot guys willing to strip down for The Full Monty is contemporary, and yes, a bit racy, but offers the kind of grit and reality in the book and in the music and lyrics that you don't often find in traditional musicals," says Michael Berkeley, artistic director of TriArts.  "How often do you get to hear a song with the title "Big Ass Aida (July 31 - August 17), which ran on Broadway for 1,852  performances. TriArts executive director Alice Bemand  says the season reflects the diversity of American musical theater: "We think The Full Monty is a good counterpoint to a traditional chestnut like Camelot and the youthful pop energy of Aida."
