August 1 | Valatie, NY
The Valatie Economic Redevelopment Association (V.E.R.A.) sponsors the official Village-Wide Tag Sale on August 1, with dozens of individual sales scattered across town selling antiques, collectibles, toys, books, clothing, housewares, and tools. Maps of participating properties will be available starting July 31 at most Main Street shops, at Mario's Home Center on Route 9, and at many of the tag sale locations themselves.
Park in the village and walk between sales, stopping for lunch at one of the restaurants and cafés along Main Street and Route 9. Valatie's Main Street has an mix of small shops worth browsing between tag sale stops, and the village's waterfalls—visible at both ends of Main Street—add to the ambiance.
V.E.R.A. runs the tag sale alongside a broader slate of Main Street programming through the year, including a WinterWalk and Small Business Saturday.
