May 16, 10am–5pm | Red Hook, NY | $5 at the gate (rain date May 17)

The Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome is holding a vintage swap meet May 16 hosted by Jimmy DiResta, An upstate New York-based celebrity craftsman and YouTuber beloved in the maker community. DiResta will be on the grounds all day giving demos and meeting people.

The swap meet itself covers vintage aviation and auto parts, memorabilia, and miscellaneous finds from a mix of outside vendors. It's a natural fit for the Aerodrome, which has been collecting, restoring, and flying antique aircraft on its Red Hook property since founder Cole Palen started acquiring planes in the 1950s. The museum's collection now runs to over 60 aircraft spanning the Pioneer, World War I, and Golden Ages of aviation, and includes antique automobiles and motorcycles. Biplane rides will be available weather permitting.

DiResta graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 1990 and spent years in toy design and television with credits including shows on Fox, HGTV, the DIY Network, and Discovery Channel. His self-titled YouTube channel has almost 2 million subscribers and over 430 million views.
