The best-dressed ladies at the Tanglewood gala on July 3 had a sense of fun, and gaily walked on the soggy lawns in their black-and-white Wellies that they bought in the Tanglewood gift shop. Diane Cataudella, Libby Roberts, and Marjory Jassy (photo left) were happy to show off the rubber Hatley boots covered in musical notes and symbols. Benefit co-chair Nancy Fitzpatrick—who noted that she is the only member of Tanglewood's Board of Trustees who lives full-time in the Berkshires, organized a homey, locavore feast that featured foods from Berkshire Mountain Bakery, Blue Moon Shrooms, Cakewalk Bakery, Equinox Farms, Fowler & Huntting Farms, High Lawn Farm, Ioka Valley Farm, Jansal Valley Farm, Klara's Cookies, Morningside Bakery, Pittsfield Rye and Vermont Butter & Cheese Company. After dinner, everyone headed by foot or golf cart to the Koussevitzky Music Shed, and the return of music director James Levine who conducted a transcendent all-Tchaikovsky program.
