Aglet

Dale Stewart reports from Lakeville. On Sunday morning, September 8, a standing-room-only-crowd gathered to support "Going Backstage: Brunch with Tom Jones," the Aglet Theatre Company's annual benefit at the Town Grove. This Tom Jones isn't the guy women throw their panties at but the much-loved librettist/lyricist known for The Fantasticks, I Do, I Do, and 110 in the Shade and a Cornwall resident. The Aglet offers the area five to six quality theatrical experiences a year, including, this fall, The Amish Project by Jessica Dickey, Don Juan Comes Back from the War by Odon von Horvath, and Other People's Money by Jerry Sterner. As Associate Artistic Director, Gloria Miller (pictured here with Ruth Heuberger and Stacie Weiner to her left) says, “We are like the Greeks; we like to put on a show and go to the agora to discuss it all."
