Phyllis Topchik, David Topchik, who co-wrote book and lyrics for "The Game," produced several years ago at BSC, and TV and stage actor Debra Jo Rupp.
On Monday, July 23, Melania Trump was in town to sing her version of “Send in the Clowns” for supporters of Barrington Stage Company. The singer was actually her lookalike, Tony Award-winning star Laura Benanti, who has gained additional fame for her dead-on appearances as the First Lady on “Late Night with Stephen Colbert.” Following Benanti’s performance, “Tales from Soprano Isle,” guests moved into a blessedly air-conditioned tent for dinner, a live auction and dancing. The annual gala raises funds to support Barrington Stage’s Playwright Mentoring Project and its New Works Initiative.
