On Saturday evening, Ferrin Gallery's double opening--Cynthia Consentino's solo show Exquisite Corpse and a group show 2D + 3D--gave a crowd of artists and art aficionados an opportunity to contrast 2-dimentional and 3-dimentional views of like subjects. Later this spring, selected works from the shows will appear at the SOFA (Sculpture, Object and Functional Art) Show at the Park Avenue Armory in New York.

The same evening, in the rustic confines of Suky and Tom Werman's Barn Gallery at Stonover Farm, a stunning array of vintage posters from communist Poland were auctioned to benefit programs of the artist-run grassroots group, the Storefront Artist Project, founded by painter Maggie Mailer six years ago in Pittsfield. Culled from the collection of artist Susan Hartung, this cache of European and American movie posters from the 1950's and 60's contains the work of the best Polish artists of the day, a time when the graphic arts of Poland had broad influence.
