Catwalk, the chic Great Barrington resale boutique whose profits support the animals of Berkshire Humane Society, was founded in 2014 and currently provides 10% of BHS’s budget. The shop has been so successful that BHS recently opened a second store in Lenox, on Church Street next door to Patisserie Lenox. Although the new shop has been open with limited hours for a few months now, a grand opening on Saturday, April 6 marked the beginning of Catwalk Lenox’s full-time hours. The night before, on Friday, April 5, the store held a private celebration for BHS staff and volunteers, which doubled as the unveiling of the new Catwalk logo. BHS Executive Director John Perreault thanked board members, volunteers and Catwalk staff for their hard work and guests toasted to the new store with sips of champagne. Both the Lenox and Great Barrington boutiques carry women’s clothing and accessories (the new store has a small men’s section, as well), along with some BHS merchandise and fun extras like animal-shaped mugs and salt and pepper shakers.
