Bobbie Hallig and her son, Oskar Hallig, whose event-planning company, Only In My Dreams Events, went all out for his mom's fete.
Travelers arrived for check-in at the Berkshire South Regional Community Center terminal in Great Barrington, Mass. at 5:30 p.m. local time on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2019. After hors d’oeuvres and cocktails in the VIP lounge, flight attendants helped guests find their way to their correct gates for dinner. The pilots and crew welcomed all aboard and Captain Smitty Pignatelli made special mention of VIP traveler Bobbie Hallig. Hallig, a former TWA air hostess who landed in Mt. Washington, Mass. 50 years ago, was honored with the Edwin A. Jaffe Award for her longtime support of Berkshire South, as well as Children’s Health Program, and local arts organizations and environmental causes. In-flight accommodations were supplied by SoMa Catering. The award “honors an individual or group who has exhibited an extraordinary commitment to building community and common purpose within the Berkshires.”
