Rural Intelligence Home and Garden

Two summers ago, a friend introduced me to Annette Miller who insisted that I see her peform in the play Martha Mitchell Calling at Stageworks in Hudson. Miller had debuted the show at her artistic home, Shakesepeare & Company, but she wanted the show to reach a wider audience, hoping to bring the show to New York. "We need a Martha right now to blow the lid off the White House," she said at the time. Last winter, she brought Martha to Miami, and now she is peforming the show in Boston, where the Boston Globe gave her a rave review. There could not be a better time to see this show about the elegant and heartbreaking whistle-blower at the Central Square Theater in Cambridge. You have until November 9.
