MASS MoCA, Building 4.1, North Adams, MA

Join MASS MoCA for an afternoon of informal drawing inside the Gallery exhibit "Vincent Valdez: Just a Dream…" The event invites visitors to slow down and engage directly with this powerful, prolific exhibition.

Participants are encouraged to draw in the galleries using graphite, surrounded by Valdez’s large-scale, representational paintings that draw on the visual language of history, media, politics and contemporary life. Local chatter says Valdez is a kind and magnanimous presence at these museum events.

Drawing pads and pencils are included with registration and available on a first-come, first-served basis, with additional supplies for purchase at the museum's (excellent) Research & Development Store. No ink is permitted in the galleries. This Drop-In Drawing session is part of a recurring series tied to the exhibition, which concludes with a public drawing exposition in March.
