In a new multidisciplinary performance forged out of a year-long residency at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park, harpist and composer Maeve Gilchrist presents “12 Dances,” a reflective evening of original music, site-inspired soundscapes, poetry, and visual elements that map a cycle of time and place through immersive artistry.
“12 Dances” unfolds as an hour of musical and sensory encounters, each “dance” born from a month of attentive listening, field recordings, and daily encounters with the natural world. Performed in the intimate performance space on Saturday, January 24, this work underscores Gilchrist’s singular approach to rhythm and resonance,
