On Saturday, a public gathering in Salisbury joins the coordinated national day of action under the banner "No Kings," a decentralized initiative that began in 2025 and has since expanded into communities across the country, activated against what the group says is rising dictatorial activity by president Donald Trump and his administration. The Salisbury event takes place from 11am to 12:30pm at 15 Main Street.
Framed around the phrase “No Thrones. No Crowns. No Kings,” the gathering is positioned as a collective civic response to current political and economic pressures, with organizers emphasizing participation at the local level. Like other events elsewhere in the RI Region and across the country, the Salisbury action is intended to be peaceful and community-based, with a stated commitment to nonviolent conduct and de-escalation.
Participation is open, with advance registration encouraged through Mobilize.
