Pittsfield singer-songwriter Christine Bilé headlines The Foundry on October 17 with her band, celebrating the release of her EP “Happiness Lives Here.” She describes it as being “all about finding love within ourselves and our communities,” and the show is billed as a journey through self-love, community, and inner joy.
Bilé builds her songs with live vocal layers, looping, guitar, and ukulele, in a sound that mixes African influences with folk, pop, and modern R&B. A graduate of The College of Saint Rose, she was a fixture of the Capital Region music scene before this year’s run of larger stages.
She toured Europe for the first time this fall, with stops at Zurich’s Fabienne Levy Gallery and, for Sofar Sounds, Berlin’s Das Baumhaus. She also played the FIFA Fan Festival in Boston during the 2026 World Cup, for a crowd estimated at 5,000. Her song “Matriarchy Battle Song,” released in 2022 became a viral hit.
After performing at the Massachusetts State House for Creative Sector Day this year, she received citations from the House and Senate for her music and voice. Her festival credits include Black Bear Americana, Ladybug Music Festival, and Sugar Hill Folk Festival.
The Foundry sells tickets on a three-tier system. Community tickets are $10 and limited, general admission is $20, and pay-it-forward is $30 and subsidizes the community seats. All tiers get the same general admission seating. Dinner at Amici Berkshires before the show gets 10% off with a ticket.
