Chatham transforms into a winter wonderland for its annual Winterfest, a long-running tradition that decks out Main Street with family activities and festive surprises. Expect everything from Santa sightings and cookie contests to live performances, tastings, hayrides, and a village-wide raffle. Of course, there will be chances to shop local.
Here's more on the lively lineup: Santa visits at the Crandell Theater, a cookie contest with cash prizes, a book signing at The Chatham Bookstore, live juggling courtesy of the Ragamuffins, and tastings at Chatham Wine & Liquor and Park Row Gallery. There's a free screening of The Polar Express at the Crandell Theater, strolling carolers, and hayrides, plus special activities for kids.
