"A Taste of Ireland" Brings Riverdance and Lord of the Dance Alumni to the Colonial Theatre
The touring Irish music and dance show, fresh off an Off-Broadway premiere, tells Ireland's history through tap battles, folk mash-ups, and a live band.

"A Taste of Ireland" brings music and dance to the Colonial Theatre on September 19, a limited-run American tour stop following the show's Off-Broadway premiere. The cast is built from former World Irish dance champions alongside dancers who've performed with the West End's "Lord of the Dance" and "Riverdance," and the production is 100% live—singing, dancing, and a full band, with no backing tracks.
The show traces Ireland's history—Viking incursions, rebellion, the long fight for independence—through a blend of modern Irish dance, tap, and contemporary movement, set to reimagined arrangements of songs including "Danny Boy," "Tell Me Ma," and "Wild Rover." Choreography for the touring production has drawn on the work of national champion Brent Pace and Ceili Moore, a world champion and former lead dancer with Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance."
