Better Than Ezra will play the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center on Friday, March 27, adding a dose of ’90s alternative rock nostalgia to the theater’s growing 2026 lineup.

Formed in 1988 at Louisiana State University, the New Orleans band broke through in the mid-’90s with Deluxe, the album that produced the enduring radio staple “Good.” Three decades later, Better Than Ezra remains a steady touring presence, known for melody-forward songwriting, confessional lyrics, and a live show that leans as much on craft as it does on crowd memory.

The Mahaiwe date follows the band’s recent celebration of Deluxe’s 30th anniversary and comes on the heels of their tenth studio album, Super Magick. Named by Billboard as one of the “100 Greatest Alternative Artists of All Time,” Better Than Ezra occupies a particular cultural lane—instantly recognizable, casually durable, and still drawing multi-generational audiences.

Tickets range from $45 to $75, with discounts for Mahaiwe members and patrons ages 30 and under. Member presale begins December 17 at noon, with general sales opening December 19 at noon. Tickets are available at mahaiwe.org or through the Mahaiwe box office.

The concert joins a 2026 Mahaiwe roster that also includes Black Violin, Michael Feinstein, Railroad Earth, and Tom Papa, with additional announcements expected.
