Saturday, April 25 | Great Barrington, MA | Free

The OtherWords reading series at the Mason Library presents a reading from poets Kate Colby and Ann Lauterbach on April 25 from 4 to 6pm. The event is free and open to the public, with wine, cider, and food provided by the Friends of Great Barrington Libraries.

Colby's most recent book, Paradoxx, was named one of the five most notable poetry collections of 2025 by Literary Hub and one of CLMP's most celebrated books of the year. She has received fellowships from the Poetry Society of America and the Woodberry Poetry Room at Harvard, and her work has appeared in Harper's, The Paris Review, The Nation, and Conjunctions, among others.

Lauterbach is the author of eleven poetry collections and has been a central figure in American experimental poetry for decades. Her Or to Begin Again was nominated for a National Book Award; her most recent collection, Door, was a finalist for the International Griffin Poetry Prize. She has received grants from the Guggenheim and MacArthur foundations and taught in Bard College's MFA program for nearly thirty years, where she holds an endowed chair and continues to teach.

The OtherWords series is co-curated by Michael Gottlieb and Evelyn Reilly.
