Art Omi holds its annual Trick or Treat in the Park on Halloween afternoon. People of all ages are invited to come in costume and spend two hours among the sculptural and architectural works on the grounds. The event is free, RSVPs are encouraged, and walk-ins are welcome.
The setting is Art Omi’s Sculpture & Architecture Park, 120 acres of meadows and woodland with more than 60 works by artists and architects. Pieces are added or swapped out each year. Art Omi is a nonprofit arts center in the hamlet of Omi, part of the town of Ghent, about 15 minutes from Hudson and Chatham. It also runs residency programs for architects, artists, dancers, musicians, and writers. The grounds are free year-round, and the center suggests a donation.
