Jeff Tweedy, founding member and frontman of Wilco, performs a solo show at the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center on Friday. Case Oats opens. Tweedy has released 13 Wilco albums and five solo albums, most recently Twilight Override, a 30-track triple album that came out in September 2025. The New York Times called it his “magnum opus.” The Mahaiwe says the show offers songs from across his catalog, along with the world of the new record.
Tweedy has described the album as an effort to push back against a sense of decline and dread in the country and in his own life. He wrote that he made a triple record because he needed something expansive. The three discs, he said, stand for the past, present, and future.
Case Oats is a duo of Spencer Tweedy and Casey Gomez and is based in Chicago. Spencer Tweedy is Jeff’s son and a longtime collaborator.
